Rift Island, also known as the Angels Gate, has a rich and tumultuous history. The archipelago first broke away from the landmass that would eventually become Japan 80 million years ago. The first inhabitants of the island were known as The Guardian of the Forest or The Forgotten, but they vanished long ago, leaving only relics of their ancient civilisation.
In the 17th century, Ivera Larsson, was the first to discover the West Pacific archipelago. Later, the island became a Japanese strategic location during World War II and then a refuge for Elivans during the Cold War

In the year 1850, an extraterrestrial substance, bearing the name of “ZP115”, descended upon Rift Island, possessing a deleterious impact upon the environment and all carbon-based life. From the year 1910 to 2027, this substance had permeated much of Rift Island, fundamentally transforming and acclimatizing the indigenous flora and fauna to its otherworldly properties.
In 1924, Rift Island declared a state of belligerency with the Japanese Imperialists, followed by the occupation of the island by the Imperialists in the year 1930. Then, in 1938, the islanders responded with military action, liberating the north Rift Island from Japanese occupation. In the year 1944, the island forged a military alliance with the USSR. This culminated in 1957, when the island united with the Warsaw Pact, effectively transforming into a communist regime. By 1985, the dissolution of the Warsaw Pact treaty resulted in the exclusion of SYND from the pact. In 1989, the Council of Prosperity was inaugurated within the Goddess Cult.
In 1991, Rift Island declared war on Russia, and subsequently, in 1994, war was declared on NATO countries. By the year 2005, SYND had occupied the majority of Europe, resulting in a protracted standoff between DPC and SYND, characterized by the tension and hostility of a cold war.
In 2019, the Glory Mission of the Goddess Realm was activated: the exploration of the void. The void is a portal that resulted from highly concentrated ZP115 at the element asteroid landing site. In 2020, the outbreak of the void entities released all the mutated monsters and demonic creatures, causing chaos and destruction on the island. Throughout its history, Rift Island has been a site of conflict and mystery, with its inhabitants battling against hostile invaders and deadly environmental factors.
As for ZP115, it is a highly dangerous substance with deadly effects on the environment and all carbon-based life. Between 1910 and 2027, it covered much of Rift Island, transforming and adapting flora and fauna to its alien nature. The spores and gases emitted by Ziptuium-mutated plant life had led to the danger of Earth becoming uninhabitable for humans, thriving only for mutants and elves, as the concentration of Ziptuium pollutants in the air reached critical levels.
In response, the SYND initiated reclamation efforts to combat the spread of ZP115. However, these efforts seem to have led to the evolution of ZP115, making it easier for humans to adapt to its presence, changing its features and proliferation in some ways. Despite this, Ziptuium did not lose its hostile qualities and remains a perfect assimilator, able to corrupt and mutate all forms of life it comes into contact with.
ZP115 is a highly dangerous and toxic substance that has a profound impact on the environment of the Rift Island. It is known to leech essential nutrients from the soil, as well as vital nutrients from all plant life, rocks, and metals, disrupting the natural balance of the island's ecosystem. Human exposure to ZP115 is extremely toxic and often fatal, making it imperative to avoid contact with the substance at all costs. In fact, the toxic effects of ZP115 are so severe that even a brief encounter with the substance can have lasting and deadly consequences for those who come into contact with it.
Moreover, the impact of ZP115 on the Rift Island has been devastating. Since its first appearance on the island in 1850, it has gradually transformed and adapted the flora and fauna of the island to its alien nature. Lord General Polly (Urizy) Larsson's belief that Ziptuium is a lifeform rather than a mineral is one such theory. The A027 Division, also known as Activity 0.27, is one of the most powerful and feared factions within the Goddess Cult of the SYND. Composed of the bravest and most skilled men and women of the SYND Inquisition, they are a heavily armoured military group tasked with combating dangerous daemonic entities that have been spawned as a result of the ZP115 crash point's distortion on the north of the Rift Island. They are also responsible for dealing with any threats directed towards the III or the goddess cult.
The A027 are known for their unique recruitment and training process, where each warrior progresses through pre-ordained ranks and operates in a specific squad led by an individual of higher rank. These squads may act independently from the main body of the Goddess Inquisition, making the A027 a versatile and adaptable force. The heavy armour worn by the A027 provides exceptional protection against physical and daemonic attacks, and they are equipped with a range of powerful weapons, including plasma guns, flamethrowers, and heavy bolters.

The SYND Airforce, officially known as the Suzanko-Yulandi National Directorate Airforce, is a powerful military wing controlled by the Council of Prosperity. It is a highly advanced and well-equipped airforce that includes elements from almost every other independent division within the SYND. The airforce is divided into three distinct branches: the A027 Division, The Goddess Bless, and The Suzanko Air Command. Other branches and units also fall under the administration of the SYND Airforce if necessary.
There are a few aircraft and sky carriers that are not part of the SYND Airforce and instead belong to either the Felansa or a small number of honored Larsson families. However, these aircraft are not as advanced or well-equipped as those under the SYND Airforce's control.
Administratively, the SYND Airforce falls under the control of the Council of Prosperity, which is responsible for making strategic decisions and managing the airforce's operations. The airforce plays a crucial role in SYND's military and political power and is often deployed to protect SYND interests around the world.
The Inquisition, formally known as the Inquisitorial Intelligence Initiative or III, is a secret organisation that operates outside of the standard administrative hierarchy of the SYND. The Inquisition acts as the covert task force of the Goddess Regime, tasked with eliminating any and all threats to the stability of the holy goddess's realm, including uncontrolled reality distortion caused by the concentration of ZP115, Heretics, negative mutations, rebels, and counter-intelligence skirmishes from the rest of the world. The III's infamous sigil was derived from the goddess herself.
When the SYND was established, it was the Council of Prosperity that first created the secret organisation that would later become the varied divisions of the Inquisition. The wish of the holy goddess ordered the III to find a group of men and women with an "inquisitive nature" to search out the enemies from wherever they lay, within or without. The Inquisition is divided into three major divisions: the Witch Guardian, the A027 Division, and the Angels, along with many other minor ones. Each division is dedicated to confronting a specific threat to the continued survival of the Goddess Regime.
The Inquisitors of the Witch Guardian provide aid to other military regiments and act as an overwatch protocol for the holy goddess, countering other threats from beyond the physical world wherever they assault on the goddess's realm. The A027 Division, an army of machined heavy infantry and combat vehicles, defends the goddess's realm from the myriad alien or demonic threats that lie outside its borders. The Angels of III, along with its Chamber assassins in white, the pious battle-sisters of the Ivera Sorority Militant, seek to combat all of the human threats to the goddess that lie within its own organisations or on its own worlds.
